The Facts

  • Annual Fee: none

  • Signup Bonus: $150 after you spend $500 within 3 months of new account opening.

  • Rewards: 1.5% cashback everywhere

  • Other benefits: No foreign transaction fees

  • History: Capital One rebranded Cash Rewards to be Quicksilver Rewards in 2015. The 1.5% cashback remained the same.

The Math
It is a straight 1.5% cashback card. For 2% cashback cards without no annual fees, check out Citi Double Cash or Fidelity Visa.

Capital One Cash vs. Capital One Venture: In order for Venture which has a $95 annual fee to break even, you need to spend around $19K a year.

The Conclusion
Capital One Quicksilver Rewards Card is a good card, but there are better alternatives out there.
